The Centre for Community socio-economic development Center (CSEED) is a Vietnamese Non-Governmental Organization, established in January 2006 by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA)

Our mission

Enables vulnerable and marginalized communities to develop sustainable livelihoods and environmental management through:

- Supporting communities to initiate and manage livelihood and environmental development projects

- Strengthening community and farmers' groups

- Piloting development initiatives and conducting research

- Advocating livelihood and environmental policies and implementation

Target groups

CSEED supports vulnerable and marginalized communities, especially the poorest, most vulnerable and marginalized individuals in these areas

Our programme and approach

Main components of livelihood and environmental programmes supported by CSEED are:

- Agriculture/food sovereignty

- Non-farm production

- Forest management and

- Credit and savings

CSEED also applies cross-cutting aspects to all projects with the aim of contributing to sustainable development. These cross-cutting aspects are:

- Capacity building for villagers, community-based organizations and local Project Partner's

- Promotion of people's participation in decision-making processes

- Community asset building

- Gender equality and equity

- Cooperating social responsibility

- Cultural values preservation

Organization capacity

CSEED's staffs have good knowledge and skills in managing development programmes and projects, with most staff members also having experience working in INGO's. Our professional expertise in agriculture, forestry, economics, environmental management, health and sociology are relevant to the organization's programmes focus.

To ensure the organization's continued growth, we have closely cooperated with other organizations and individuals in our development initiatives
